WINNELLIE PARK (DARWIN)

The 'Winnellie Park' greyhound track is situated on Hook Road, about 10km south of Darwin. Car parking is available inside the grounds. There are camping facilities for travelling trainers, and kennels available for greyhounds. The track is very much an all weather, it has a sandy loam surface and a cable lure system is installed.

FACILITIES:

Bookmakers operate at this venue and there are full totalisator facilities operating. There are video replays of all races and videos are available to those owner/trainers requiring same. There are snack bar facilities and the air-conditioned 'Raceway' Restaurant is available to patrons.

RACE MEETINGS:

Friday night’s meetings with the occasional Thursday meetings. There is no veterinary service available at race meetings except for Darwin Cup meetings. The kennel block is not air conditioned and kennels are all on the one level.

Nominations for meetings close at the Club at 12.00 noon Monday prior to the meeting. The box draw is conducted at the Office of the Racing and Gaming Commission on Tuesday at approximately 9.30 am.

Tuesday evening Public trials are conducted from 6.00 pm. Half field and solo trials are conducted over all distances including post to post hand slips and arm trials are available.
